FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The Parnell Avenue Bridge is now open after being closed for four months due to repairs.
The bridge goes over the St. Joseph River, near the intersection of Parnell and St. Joe River Drive.
In a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, the completion of the rehabilitation project was celebrated. The Parnell Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation Project consisted of replacing the bridge deck, repairing spandrel arches and substructure, and upgrading sidewalks and approaches.
