Two unrelated shootings in Oakland Tuesday night, one on BART and another on I-580 near Mills College, have left a 15-year-old in critical condition, and a Ford Fiesta shot up with bullet holes.
Two separate shootings within about an hour of each other complicated travel in Oakland Tuesday night, both on public transit and on the highways. The Chronicle reports that a 15-year-old boy was shot on a moving BART train as the train was approaching Fruitvale station at around 7:30 pm Tuesday. Then at around 8:40 pm, a car was shot at while driving eastbound on I-580 near Mills College, according to KTVU, though the driver of that car was not injured.
