Tampa Gets Ready for 3rd Annual World Car Free Day With Bike-Friendly Festival

This fall, streets across Tampa will buzz with cyclists and walkers during the city’s third car-free celebration. The five-hour fest spans four key spots, turning roads into people-friendly zones on Sept. 20.

From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., visitors can join group rides, browse local markets, and take part in street activities. The main hubs — Midtown, Encore, Centennial Park, and TampaWell Community Gardens — will each offer unique draws. This local push joins a bigger wave, with thousands of cities worldwide ditching cars for a day.
