SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Emergency crews responded to reports of shots being fired at a location in the Allendale area Friday afternoon (Sept. 19).
According to Caddo Parish 911 records, the incident happened around 1:20 p.m. near Looney Street, Poplar Street, Lewis Place, and Milam Street. That’s right around Booker T. Washington High School.
At least nine units with the Shreveport Police Department initially responded, as well as eight units with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
A representative with the school district says the school resource officer (SRO) on campus heard shots fired near the school. That’s when a shelter in place was issued for the school as a precaution…
