CSPD: Domestic disturbance call leads to suspect’s arrest, child’s rescue

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A domestic disturbance call led to the arrest of a suspect and a child’s rescue after police responded to an apartment complex in east Colorado Springs on Thursday, Sept. 18, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

On Thursday just after 8 a.m., officers were called to the 6100 block of Mustang Meadow Point, which is near the intersection of Tutt Boulevard and Barnes Road, to investigate a domestic disturbance.

When police arrived, they learned the suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Peter Hughes, was inside the victim’s apartment along with their six-year-old daughter…
