‘Extremely challenging time’: Arrest made after Charleston sees 35 overdoses in 24 hours

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — An arrest has been made after Charleston saw 35 overdoses in 24 hours earlier this week, city officials said.

Anton Jeffries, 31, of Akron, Ohio, was arrested Thursday for possession with intent to deliver fentanyl in connection with the dozens of overdoses, Charleston police said in a news conference on Friday.
