Woman, two children inside SUV struck by bullet in downtown Durham: Police

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A vehicle with a woman and two children inside was struck by gunfire in downtown Durham Wednesday afternoon, according to the Durham Police Department.

Police said the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Pettigrew Street where a CBS 17 crew could see at least 23 evidence markers sprawled out on the ground.

Police said they found a woman who had been driving with an 11-year-old and an eight-year-old. The woman told officers a person in another vehicle began shooting in her direction, striking her SUV.

No injuries were reported, according to Durham police…
