Four candidates are running for three open seats on the Charlottesville City School Board

In Virginia, school board members are elected to four-year terms and serve as the leaders of the district, ensuring effective schooling and setting the direction of public schools. All seven seats on the Charlottesville City School Board are at-large seats, they are elected by all voters in the city.

This year, four candidates are running for three open seats. School Board hopefuls Zyahna Bryant and Dashad Cooper are running, along with incumbents Emily Dooley, who is seeking a second term on the board, and Lisa Larson-Torres, who is seeking a third.
