OAK GROVE, KY — A disturbance call at a Kentucky hotel turned violent Tuesday when a 26-year-old man allegedly spit in an officer’s face, kicked a police cruiser, and shouted threats while under the influence, according to local authorities.
Disturbance at Quality Inn
Police said they were called to the Quality Inn in Oak Grove Tuesday morning after reports of a man causing a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they found Eric Watson, 26, allegedly behaving erratically and appearing to be intoxicated.
Confrontation With Police
According to WKDZ Radio, Watson initially tried to walk away from the scene. But when officers attempted to arrest him, he resisted.
During the struggle, Watson allegedly spit directly into an officer’s face, repeatedly kicked the door of the police cruiser, and yelled threats at law enforcement.
Charges Filed
Watson was arrested and is now facing multiple charges, including:
- Second-degree terroristic threatening
- Third-degree assault of a police officer
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Resisting arrest
