Private radiology practice Tennessee Interventional and Imaging Associates has joined the ranks of those around the U.S. having trouble negotiating contracts with United Healthcare, according to a September 18 Chattanooga Times Free Press report.
CEO Stephen Johnson, MD, told the Press that the practice has never been out of network with a major insurer. However, that is set to change January 1, 2026 under United Healthcare’s Medicaid plan and dual Medicaid and Medicare plan.
