HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A Vanderburgh County sheriff’s deputy is honored for his DUI enforcement work.
Deputy Matt Gardner received his “Top 25 DUI Award” Thursday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
4 arrested in Evansville drug trafficking operation; 6 children removed from homes
In 2024, Deputy Gardner made 56 DUI arrests – making him one of the top enforcers in Indiana. Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson says the entire department is proud to see this recognition at the state level.

Sheriff Robinson says, “When somebody from our agency wins an award like that, the whole agency wins the award. He deserves it, and quite frankly, I think the men and women who go out there and do this job every day deserve a share in that award as well.”
