GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Kalamazoo man in whose home authorities found a woman dead of an overdose will spend 30 years in a federal prison.
Keith Smith, 46, was sentenced for possession with intent to distribute meth, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
“Mr. Smith is a career criminal. We hope this sentence sends a message to those who continue to commit criminal activity in and around Kalamazoo,” Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team Capt. Michael Ferguson said in a Friday statement.

In August 2022, prosecutors say, investigators caught Smith selling a pound of meth in a sting. Police went to his home in September 2022 and found a woman dead of an overdose.
