Teen, man arrested following deadly shooting at South Nashville apartment complex

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A teenager and an adult were charged Thursday night in connection with a fatal shooting in South Nashville late last month.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the shooting occurred on Aug. 29 in a parking lot at Crestridge Apartments in the 1000 block of Thompson Place, leading to the death of 25-year-old Ever Domingo-Mazariegos.

Authorities said the investigation shows that 26-year-old Emerson Depaz-Pangan had been involved in an argument with Domingo-Mazariegos that evening and later drove to confront him, accompanied by 16-year-old Juan Acoj-Tecu, who was armed with a pistol. The teen and the victim allegedly exchanged gunfire during the confrontation.
