STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is taking a new step stop super speeders.
On Friday, the sheriff’s office unveiled four brand new cars specially equipped to super speeders. Deputies say the vehicles come equipped with a built in radar, camera systems and push bumpers to stop cars in the event of a police chase.
“These are the new Tahoe’s for our aggressive driving unit. we got 4 new Tahoe’s. One of the biggest complaints here in Martin Co that we get at the sheriff’s office is speeders and aggressive driving so these are used to combat the aggressive drivers,” said Bryan Martini, a Martin County Sheriff deputy…
