NIXA, Mo. (KY3) -Residents in Nixa are being encouraged to conserve water due to the worsening drought, upgraded to severe across most of the Ozarks.
The City of Nixa uses nine wells to access groundwater in an aquifer. A key part of the measure of the groundwater involves using the water table, which is the maximum height of water in an aquifer.
