SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Celebrate the end of summer at Riverfest in downtown Sioux Falls. The free festival is taking place from 2-8 p.m. on the Cherapa Place side of the River Greenway Amphitheater. Musical performers include the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, The Teel’s, plus Jamie Lynn & The Trio. There will also be plenty of food vendors, retail booths and a sustainability zone where festival-goers can learn about recycling and the importance of protecting the Big Sioux River.
Celebrate International Red Panda Day at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls. Check out the zoo’s own red pandas from 9 a.m. to noon and learn more about the endangered animals during a zookeeper chat at 11 a.m. The cost is a zoo admission.
Activities at the 10th annual SiouxperCon at the Sioux Falls Convention Center include opening ceremonies at 9 a.m., a kids zone opens at 10 a.m., a comic collaboration at noon, a cosplay parade at 3:45 p.m. plus workshops and celebrity photo ops throughout the day.
