ALBANY, N.Y. — Eric Thompson, also known as hip-hop artist Hoodcredit Eric, says he is taking his anti-violence message from his new track “Ceasefire N Everytown” directly into the community through new workshops aimed at reducing gun violence.
Following a spate of shootings in Albany over the Independence Day weekend, Thompson, who also coordinates the Albany Violence Prevention Task Force, is developing hip-hop-themed workshops. He says they will be held at community events both big and small, with the goal of also bringing the workshops to schools.
