HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Former Evansville Police Chief Billy Bolin has posted a statement online questioning why the man arrested for the murder of real estate agent Susan Haynie was released early from an earlier jail sentence.
Jamerus Parkman was charged with Haynie’s murder on Thursday after authorities say DNA on Haynie was linked to him. Parkman was released from jail earlier this year after serving 13 years of a 35-year sentence for burglary and attempted rape.
In a post on Facebook, Bolin said he worked many nights from 2008 to 2010 trying to catch Parkman while he was “terrorizing the historic district”. Bolin, who is now chief of the Henderson Police Department, said he is not as angry at Parkman as he is at the people who made the decision to release him back into society…
