MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people, who police say are siblings, were arrested and face multiple drug charges after a brief chase on Thursday evening in the Highland Heights neighborhood, according to Memphis police.
Officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in a “high drug area” parked in the driveway of a vacant home in the 3300 block of Hardin Ave. around 6:30 p.m.
When they arrived they saw a man, identified as 33-year-old Marquis James, wearing an orange hat and blue jeans walking quickly away from a 2008 Jeep Liberty with temporary Tennessee tags. Officers gave James verbal commands to stop and he began running east on Hardin Ave. crossing National St…
