Bennett school district lockdown lifted after ‘suspicious’ person found to be contractor

DENVER (KDVR) — Schools in the Bennett School District 29J are no longer on lockdown after a report of a suspicious person on the school campus on Thursday. There was no threat to the campus.

The school district said it went into lockdown at 12:06 p.m. after a student reported a “suspicious individual” on the high school campus. Officers arrived at 12:07 p.m. and began investigating.
