AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – We’ve been dry lately and there still isn’t much rain in the forecast the next few days, but a few isolated showers and storms will be possible Friday into the weekend. Isolated shower chances will likely continue into next week, but don’t count on seeing a ton of rain that would impact outdoor plans.
Today looks similar to Thursday with highs near 90 and spotty downpours. Isolated showers will be possible in the afternoon, but shouldn’t impact outdoor plans too much. Keep you plans to head to Arts in the Heart and high school football games Friday evening.
Our overall pattern doesn’t change too much this weekend. Highs will be near 90 Saturday and upper 80s Sunday. A quick shower or storm looks possible at times this weekend, but most of the day should remain dry – if it does rain, it shouldn’t last longer than 15-30 minutes. Wind will be out of the east Saturday generally less than 10 mph. Wind will be more northeasterly Sunday sustained between 5-10 mph.
Next week will stay warm for the first official week of fall. The fall equinox will be Monday. Highs will remain close to 90 through the middle of next week. Morning lows will be in the mid-60s. Isolated showers will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday. Higher rain chances expected toward the end of next workweek with our next front showing up to the region. Keep it here for updates…
