3 people, 1 cat rescued from fire

Three persons escaped from a garage fire in Westminster on Thursday morning.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority – which provides fire and paramedic service to Garden Grove, Stanton and Westminster – the alarm came in around 9 a.m. to the home in the 6100 block of Chinook Avenue.

There were three people in the home at the time. One was able to escape through the window, a second person was rescued by Westminster police and a third by OCFA personnel. That person was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition…
