LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) — The decline in marriage and birth rates has reached a crisis level. That is why the leader of the Commonwealth Policy Center (CPC) says the organization decided to hold a Family and Cultural Renewal conference on the campus of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
“Serious decline in marriage formation and natality below replacement levels indicate a society in decline,” said CPC Executive Director Richard Nelson. “The Family and Cultural Renewal conference cast a vision for pastors and policymakers to elevate marriage and family to the central and restorative role it can play in our society.”
The event, co-sponsored by the Council for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW), featured three prominent speakers who outlined how the marriage and birth rate crisis began and the steps necessary to reverse it.
