Lucas County Canine Care and Control will waive adoption fees next week, and is asking the public to help foster its dogs and allow them to “decompress” while it moves to the new facility.
Adoption fees will be waived from Sept. 20 to Sept. 27 with the purchase of a $25 dog license. Those who wish to foster the dogs for a “sleepover” from Sept. 28 to Oct. 3 will be provided with supplies and may sign up at LC4’s website.
“Whether you’ve been thinking about adopting or waiting for a sign — this is it. Every dog deserves a family, and now is the perfect time to make that happen,” said LC4 Deputy Director Terra Bundy. “Our new shelter is state-of-the art, but we’d much rather see a dog move into its forever home than move locations with us.”…
