Verona’s ultimate fall celebration returns next week

Verona is looking to keep up its title as the host of one of the best fall festivals in the nation when Fall Fest returns from 4-11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26.

This is a free, family-friendly event for people of all ages with live music, a beer tent, food and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, wear their coziest fall hoodies and enjoy the brisk evening air.

The schedule for the afternoon is as follows:

Events between 4-9 p.m.

  • Hay Rides (ends at 6:30 p.m.)
  • Kid’s Tent (ends at 7 p.m.)
  • Magic Shows (5:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.)
  • Games
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Havens Petting Farm
  • Face Painting
  • Feature Movie Presentation – “Ghostbusters”
  • Marketplace – Lily’s Magical Treats; Sue Haakenson-Crook; Back Alley Cat Goods; Zuri’s Furry Friends; MoonFire Candle Co; El Gallito Sports; Yarn on the Cobb; CraftZilla 3D Printing; Sugarbeet Cookie Co; MosesSista; Alice Acres Home Goods LLC; Adya Designs, LLC; North Earth Crystals and Gifts; Emz Wired Up; and Take Two Bakery

Tickets are also available for the Fall Fest Raffle, an annual giveaway that keeps all of the chamber’s events free for the community. The chamber hosts a variety of events throughout the year that come at no cost to attendees, with the exception of food and beverage sales and the carnival at Hometown Days…
