ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — A unique program is helping a New Mexico non-profit continue its legacy. Street Food Institute is receiving $30,000 to continue teaching residents about culinary arts.

The non-profit will use the donation to build up their entrepreneurial training program and their culinary program for high school students. Street Food Institute Executive Chef Julian Griego says the funding will keep New Mexico passionate about cooking for years to come.
“I feel very lucky as a chef here that I get to see and meet people who are excited about food. And bring amazing ideas,” said Griego. “I mean, I’ve seen great food from amazing chefs. I’ve seen great food from home cooks who have been cooking the same thing for a very long time.”…
