At exactly 7:04 p.m., emergency personnel were alerted of the situation via a 911 call, leading to the deployment of 7 units and a total of 19 dedicated firefighters as confirmed on the official Honolulu Fire Department website.
The first responders made their timely arrival on the scene at 7:27 p.m.; they confronted the rugged terrain to reach a male hiker in his 30s, who had suffered a 30-foot fall and consequently could not muster the strength to trek back on his own, this urgency was met with efficiency and precision, Air 1 dispatched a rescue specialist who landed within the area at 8:02 p.m., performed a medical assessment, and rendered basic life support, reportedly the HFD team faced no additional adversities during the operation.
