Police: Monroe County man charged with aggravated assault after shooting child in arm

A 34-year-old Albrightsville man is charged with aggravated assault after striking his stepchild in the arm with a bullet, according to police.

According to the criminal complaint, Pennsylvania State Police received a call of a child, 10, with a gunshot wound at the St. Luke’s emergency room.

The victim told police that his father came to the residence on Orchard Drive in Chestnuthill Township and was giving him a hug before the victim’s stepfather, Darius James, brandished a firearm and attempted to shoot the father in the head, according to the complaint…
