Charlie Sheen’s tumultuous personal life continues to make headlines. In a recent bombshell interview on 60 Minutes, the actor revealed the extent of his past drug use, claiming that a Mexican cartel stopped supplying him with cocaine because of the sheer volume he was purchasing.
He told interviewer Amelia Adams that the cartel mistook him for a dealer due to the “weight” he was acquiring, not realizing it was all for personal use. Adams reacted with surprise, asking, “The cartel cut you off?”, to which Sheen confirmed, “They did, they did.”
He went on to describe smoking what he estimated were seven-gram rocks of crack cocaine, even joking, “We’re going to need a bigger pipe.”
Sheen also discussed his decision to openly discuss his past relationships with men in his docuseries and autobiography, explaining it as a preemptive move against potential blackmail attempts. He told People magazine, āI flipped the menu over.
Iām not going to run from my past, or let it own me.ā He clarified that these relationships occurred during periods of heavy crack cocaine use, describing the experiences as a mix of “weird” and “f–king fun.”
In another interview on Good Morning America, Sheen addressed his initial secrecy about these relationships, revealing he had been the target of extortion. He stated that he had previously paid to keep the information quiet, but ultimately decided to come forward with his HIV diagnosis in 2015 to feel “free.” He explained, “I just need to be free of that and then see how the world feels if people know that stuff.ā
