West Nile virus cases found in Fayette County, Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Three human cases of West Nile virus have been identified in Fayette County.

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department said the cases were all identified between late August and early September.

All three cases have reportedly required hospitalization. The health department said all cases are adults between the ages of 30 and 77.

All three individuals are said to either reside in or spend long periods of time outdoors in the 40502, 40505, and 40509 ZIP codes.
