LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech University has earned its seventh Great Colleges to Work For® designation. This marks the university’s fifth straight year being recognized as one of the best destinations in the country for employees to work at, this also being the fourth straight year being an Honor Roll member.

The designation serves to reinforce Texas Tech’s reputation as a leading employer in higher education, to help boost recruitment and retention of top talent, while showing the university’s commitment to creating a thriving work environment for staff. The ranking is based off of results of a survey taken by the Great Colleges to Work For®, which polled the faculty and staff of 199 institutions across the U.S., including 123 four-year colleges and universities. The Honor Roll status being given for Texas Tech being cited most often across all recognition categories.
In a statement, Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec said, “This recognition is significant because it reflects the culture created by our faculty and staff. Their commitment to our students, to one another and to the mission of Texas Tech makes this a special place to work.”
