Man dies after hitting pothole in ‘notorious’ SE Portland intersection on e-scooter

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A Portland family is grieving after having to pull their husband and father off life support this past week.

Randy Phelps was critically injured when his e-scooter hit a pothole in Southeast Portland. A pothole that has been causing issues along Southeast 52nd Avenue, and was filled in by the city on Thursday, a month after the e-scooter crash – and just days after Phelps was taken off life support.
