Pop Superstar Harry Styles Runs Sub-3-Hour Berlin Marathon
Berlin, Germany — Music sensation Harry Styles added another accomplishment to his impressive resume this past Sunday: completing the Berlin Marathon in under three hours. The singer, songwriter, and former One Direction member crossed the finish line with a time of 2:59:13, a coveted achievement for marathon runners. Approximately 55,000 runners participated in the race, which is known for its fast, flat course.
Styles reportedly ran under the pseudonym “Sted Sarandos” and was seen sporting a headband and sunglasses. Local newspaper Der Tagesspiegel first reported his participation, later confirmed by race organizers.
The paper also noted Styles had been spotted training in Berlin leading up to the marathon. A photo of Styles with Paralympian Richard Whitehead, who is running 20 marathons this year, appeared on Whitehead’s Instagram account after the race.
Styles’ musical achievements include chart-topping albums like his self-titled debut and “Fine Line,” which featured the Grammy-winning hit “Watermelon Sugar.”
