First Alert Forecast |Staying Dry in Augusta through Tuesday, Rain Returns Late Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – High pressure strengthens over Georgia-Carolina Sunday through Tuesday, so rain chances will be very slim with high temperatures staying above average around 90 degrees each day.

A trough of low pressure in the jet stream builds in over the eastern U.S. by Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – bringing a cold front with improving rain chances and slightly cooler temperatures to our area.

Next week will stay warm for the first official week of fall. The fall equinox is Monday at 2:19 p.m. EDT. Highs will be a degree or two either side of 90 degrees through Thursday. Morning lows will be in the lower to middle 60s warming to near 70 Thursday and Friday…
