BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The Birmingham Veteran Affairs (VA) Medical Center has displayed a permanent, moving tribute to honor prisoners of war (POW) and those missing in action.
According to the American Legion, National POW/MIA Day falls on the third Friday of September each year. Across the country, it is a way to honor the commitment and sacrifices made by the United State’s POWs and those still missing in action (MIA).
