CCHS Colonel and HHS Tiger Bands Both Shine At Regional Competitions

This fall, both the Christian County Colonel Band and the Hopkinsville Band of Tigers showcased outstanding performances at their respective competitions, bringing home top honors and setting the stage for continued success.

At the Daviess County Fall Spectacular, the Christian County Colonels earned Overall Grand Champion, capturing top awards for Best Overall Percussion, Best Overall Guard, and 1st Place in Class 4A. Competing against bands from across the region — including Union County, Owensboro Catholic, Edmonson County, Webster County, McLean County, Hancock County, Warren East, Apollo, Marshall County, Meade County, Henderson County, Owensboro, and Greenwood.

Meanwhile, the Hopkinsville Band of Tigers competed at the Logan County Festival of Bands, where they earned Reserve Grand Champion, finishing narrowly behind South Warren. The Tigers also took home Best Overall Guard honors and 1st Place in Class 4A, outshining a strong field including Mayfield, Dawson Springs, Trigg County, Monroe County, Russellville, Todd County, Allen County-Scottsville, Franklin-Simpson, Barren County, and Muhlenberg County…
