Community engagement through social media has once again proved to be a force for good in the case of a missing 8-year-old boy from Jacksonville, Florida. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office credited public tips, which flowed in after a social media blitz, for the safe location of La’Meldrick Washington, barely a day after he went missing.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, La’Meldrick was last seen near his home on Adams Lake Boulevard off Normandy Boulevard, following an argument with his guardian.
