Turns out there ARE some things you can’t do on Broadway.
If you’ve been to Nashville lately, you probably see Broadway as a wild, drunken free-for-all where anything goes and there aren’t any rules. You’ve got drunk people all over the place, dancing on the sidewalks and in the street, country artists throwing chairs off rooftops…it’s a wild place these days.
But the Metro Nashville Police Department actually keep a pretty close eye on everything that happens downtown. MNPD even has a police station right on Broadway, which was funded by Garth Brooks and sits right beside his Friends In Low Places bar, and obviously there are a few people who come to Broadway thinking they can get away with whatever they want and end up earning themselves to the Davidson County Jail…
