Boyfriend arrested after altercation with gal pal who objected to photo on his phone

A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly punching his girlfriend who thought he was wrong for having an inappropriate picture on his phone.

Officers responded to a battery involving 66-year-old Sandy Jay Tucker at an undisclosed Leesburg residence at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

Tucker’s girlfriend of nine months advised that they were traveling from Lady Lake to her residence when Tucker brought up a past argument about her finding an inappropriate picture of a woman in his phone. She did not want to talk about it and stated he was wrong for that. He tried to talk about it again, and she pointed her finger at his face, saying he was still wrong for it, the report said.

He then put his hand toward her face. She pushed it away, which upset him. He proceeded to punch her in the face twice. She sustained slight bruising and redness on her left eye, the report said…
