UWF student awarded prestigious Department of War scholarship

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Lousindy Mitton, a PhD student at the University of West Florida, has been selected as a U.S. Department of War Cyber Service Academy Scholar, a prestigious and highly competitive program designed to cultivate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

This year, 662 students applied for the scholarship, with only 50 chosen, placing Mitton in the top 7.5% of applicants from across the nation.
