A bicyclist was fatally struck by a sport utility vehicle that had veered onto the shoulder of a Sonoma County highway Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The cyclist had stopped on the northbound right-hand shoulder of Old Redwood Highway in Windsor, south of Shiloh Road, when he was hit by a Range Rover at 1:11 p.m., the CHP said.
