Teen Pedestrian Stable After Being Struck by Vehicle in Windsor Crosswalk

Last Thursday in Windsor, a pedestrian collision turned a section of the town into a scene of critical emergency response. The Town of Windsor Police Department reported that a 15-year-old girl was injured in a vehicle collision while crossing the street. The incident occurred around 7:22 PM at Old Redwood Highway and Thrushwing Avenue.

Authorities say that the young pedestrian was within the crosswalk when hit by a Toyota Tacoma. This event left her with severe injuries, 52 yards away from the initial impact point. Having sustained multiple fractures and abrasions, she was transported to a local hospital. Later, affirming the gravity of her situation, she was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center.
