1 Killed and 2 Injured in Stabbing Altercation Outside a Phish Concert in Virginia

A Phish concert turned deadly after one person died and two others were injured following a stabbing outside the venue.

While the band was performing during their Friday, September 19, show in Virginia, an alleged altercation broke out at around 9:30 p.m. local time, according to the Hampton Police Division’s press release. The fatal interaction occurred on the 1000 block of Coliseum Drive, which police say started as a verbal altercation among several people.

“Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims suffering from laceration injuries, one of which was life-threatening,” Corporal Shaun Stalnaker said in the news release. “Preliminary investigation revealed that an argument had taken place among several individuals, which escalated into a physical altercation.”…
