WILMINGTON, DE — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one person injured Thursday afternoon in Wilmington.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded at approximately 1:57 p.m. on September 18 to the area of West 2nd and North DuPont Streets for reports of gunfire. A 24-year-old male victim later arrived at a hospital in stable condition with gunshot wounds.
Police said that while investigating, officers obtained a description of the suspect vehicle. A short time later, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled. The vehicle was eventually located near Oak and South Broom Streets, where officers took Travon Norton, 24, into custody without incident. A loaded 9mm handgun was recovered during the investigation…
