(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Officers responded to Penrose Main Hospital after learning of a stabbing victim who had walked in with injuries that were not life-threatening on Saturday night, Sept. 20, after the victim was robbed and stabbed in the neck, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
Police reported that the victim stated he had been walking in Monument Valley Park, near West Bijou Street and North Cascade Avenue, when another man stole his backpack, leading to a struggle in which the victim was stabbed with an unknown object in the side of his neck. The injury resulted in eight stitches.
