A suspect was wounded by Portland Police in an exchange of gunfire Saturday morning. Police responded to a report of an armed man who threatened a gas station employee. About a half hour later, a similar report came in from another gas station. Officers pulled over the suspect’s vehicle and there was an exchange of gunfire. The suspect suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was hospitalized. No officers were hurt. Bullets hit a police car and a bystander’s vehicle.
