DeKalb County police investigating after UTV stolen right in front of seller’s eyes

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – DeKalb County Police are investigating the theft of an off-road vehicle that was listed for sale and stolen from the 4400 block of Abram Way in Conley. The attempted sale began on social media.

The case involves Corey Brooks, who lives in North Carolina and had been trying to sell his Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) to earn some extra money. Brooks said the buyer initially seemed legitimate due to his demeanor and firm handshake when they met, but that trustworthy impression didn’t last.

A Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) is similar to an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) in that both are side-by-side vehicles. However, UTVs are typically larger, designed to carry multiple passengers and are equipped with a steering wheel.
