U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at a Florida airport discovered suspected human bones in the luggage of a traveler who said they were used for “rituals.”
Carlos C. Martel, Director of Field Operations for CBP’s Miami and Tampa field offices, shared photos of the bizarre find at Tampa International Airport on X on Thursday.
Martel said a traveler going through customs had declared “just 10 cigars,” but CBP Agriculture Specialists found “prohibited plants, undeclared cigars, and a foil-wrapped duffel bag containing what looked like human remains, including part of a skull.”…
