Bad news for mac & cheese-lovers in the Corridor – Cheesy Noodle Mac & Snacks in Cedar Rapids has officially shut its doors.

Cheesy Noodle Mac & Snacks held its official grand opening on Monday, August 26th of 2024. Located at 3998 Westdale Pkwy SW in the former home of Great Harvest Bread Company, the Cedar Rapids restaurant specialized in mac & cheese, grilled cheese, and nachos. There were different signature creations customers could choose from, but all of the dishes also had a “build-your-own” option. The restaurant had a 4.3-star rating on Google thanks to a total of 76 reviews.
The Closing
On the night of Friday, September 19th, Cheesy Noodle surprised customers when they announced on Facebook that they are officially closed… for good. The post reads:
“That’s a wrap! Thank you, Cedar Rapids, for an amazing year. Our time at this location has officially come to an end. We are so grateful for the support, smiles, and memories over the past year. It has been an incredible journey, and we couldn’t have done it without this amazing community. We’re so grateful for all your support! Remember to #takeitcheesy”
There was no specific reason given for the closure.
