Collin County, Texas – Streets across central Collin County turned hazardous Monday morning as flash flooding shut down low-lying roads and underpasses, putting drivers at risk and threatening nearby neighborhoods.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, a Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 12:45 p.m. CDT after Doppler radar detected heavy rainfall from slow-moving thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing in several towns, with more expected through midday.
McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Wylie, Prosper, and surrounding suburbs have reported water covering streets, small creeks spilling banks, and rapid ponding in urban areas.
